For the last couple of months I have started a new job that requires me to be a supervisor(I had to put on my big girl panties & do the damn thing) I am enjoy my new position however it is interrupting with my creative flow. I had a great time with my FAM yesterday, I ate entirely too much and I should be exercising vice updating my blog. LOL However, I am so thankful for my FAM and friends; I really see how they keep me grounded and true to who I am.

New Moon -Girls Day Out

We (my BFF and Thing 1) planned a Girls Day Out to have a late lunch at the Cheesecake Factory and then go see NEW MOON. In preparing for the day I ordered custom hoodies from Mike on Etsy; Kat refused to wear any type of Twilight apparel. We had such a good time and in the process, my BFF came over to the "dark side", she is now a "Twilighter". The movie was well worth the wait and I cannot wait until the next movie. Also, those Quileute Boyz are hott!!! However, I am still a member of Team Edward.

I had the best weekend!!! I went to the Cozy Crop House in Lititz, PA; It was nice and relaxing, I did get my "Twilight Saga" mini book done. (pics will follow later) Made a very cute photo block and learned several new and different ways to alcohol inks during the "Alcohol Ink Happy Hour" (no real alchol involved, LOL).

Just when you think that your day cannot get any worse and you are sweating the small stuff.....stop and think about the other people who are struggling just to put food on the table or where the money is going to come from for their medical bills. Remember that tommorow is not promised and that you should live EVERYDAY like it may be your last.

ROAD TRIP Great American Scrapbook Convention

Kate and I ventured to the Great American Scrapbook Convention in Chantilly, VA. I went last year for the first time and was like a kid in a candy store; Not so much this year. I went prepared with my list in hand. However, I did learn some more techniques using the Tim Holtz Distressed Inks and Masks from Ted at Stampers Anonymous. TED IS THE MAN!!!!!!! He made me a GREAT tag. He Rocks!!!!

Then we went and saw the Gorgeous Divas at Luxe Paper!!!!!!!! And what a DEAL we got!!!!!!!

Brandon Blue made his arrival in the world nearly four months ahead of schedule. Weighing just 1 lb. 8 oz, he had to fight for survival from the start. With severely underdeveloped lungs, Brandon was dependent on a respirator and tiny breathing tubes to keep him alive. During his 7 ½ months stay in the Hopkins NICU, one complication after another plagued Brandon’s recovery. Breathing problems, feeding difficulty, infections, intestinal problems, eye issues, lung disease and a heart condition were only part of the story. Then, In late 2005, Brandon lost his hearing completely and in the summer of 2006, received a unilateral cochlear implant at the Johns Hopkins Listening Center. Now 5 years old, he continues the road to recovery with the help of many at Johns Hopkins, and Howard County public school system educators and therapists.

The Ceiling Has been FIXED

After having my ceiling open for 3 days 5 hrs and I don't know how many minutes. My handyperson Juan and friends fixed everything. I am glad that they were able to finish in oneday. I can honestly say that the space between my ceiling and subfloor are clean. I had them suck everything up with the "shopvac" before replacing the ceiling. LOL
